Privacy Policy for EmuCoreV

1. Information processed locally

EmuCoreV may process information required to provide its emulation and library features, including:

• User-selected game files and installed game data
• Save data
• Game library metadata
• Emulator settings and preferences
• Custom graphics drivers
• Screenshots
• User-selected backgrounds, fonts, and profile images
• Touchscreen, controller, vibration, and supported motion sensor input

This information is normally processed locally and stored in the App’s private storage, app-specific external storage, or locations explicitly selected by the user through Android’s system file picker.

EmuCoreV does not upload game files, save data, screenshots, license files, or raw controller and touchscreen input to Sashkin Apps servers.

2. Optional EmuCoreV account

If you choose to create an EmuCoreV account, the following information may be processed:

• Email address
• Display name
• Firebase user identifier
• Authentication information

Account authentication is provided by Google Firebase Authentication.

Passwords are securely transmitted to and handled by Firebase Authentication. Sashkin Apps does not store account passwords in its own database.

An account is optional and is required only for account-related and cloud profile features.

3. Optional cloud profile backup

When you explicitly use the cloud profile backup feature, EmuCoreV may store the following information in Google Cloud Firestore:

• Firebase user identifier
• Game catalog identifiers
• Game list status
• Favorite status
• Dates when profile entries were added or updated

Cloud profile backup does not include game files, save data, screenshots, or license files.

4. Optional Achievement Assist

When you explicitly request a trophy translation or gameplay hint, EmuCoreV may transmit:

• Selected language
• Game title
• Trophy name
• Trophy description
• Trophy grade
• Requested action, such as translation or hint generation

This information is sent to an EmuCoreV service hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure.

Generated results may be cached locally on the device for up to seven days. Users should not enter personal information into trophy or game metadata fields.

5. Network and technical information

When EmuCoreV connects to online services, the service provider may automatically process limited technical information such as:

• IP address
• Request date and time
• Requested resource
• Basic application, device, and network information
• Security and diagnostic information

This information may be processed to establish a network connection, deliver requested content, prevent abuse, and maintain service security.

EmuCoreV may connect to external services to provide compatibility information, artwork, videos, cloud services, and other content explicitly requested by the user.

6. Android backup

If Android backup or device transfer is enabled, Android may include some EmuCoreV preferences in the user’s system backup.

These backups are controlled by Android and the user’s Google account settings. Users can manage Android backup through their device settings.

7. How information is used

We use information only when necessary to:

• Provide emulator functionality
• Manage user-selected emulator content
• Authenticate optional user accounts
• Back up and restore profile information
• Provide requested trophy translations and gameplay hints
• Display compatibility information, artwork, and related content
• Maintain security and prevent abuse
• Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

8. Advertising and analytics

EmuCoreV does not contain advertising SDKs.

We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for targeted advertising.

The current version of EmuCoreV does not intentionally use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics to collect general usage analytics or crash reports.

Google Play and other distribution platforms may independently process installation, performance, and diagnostic information according to their own privacy policies.

9. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information may be transmitted to service providers only when required to provide a feature requested by the user, including:

• Google Firebase: account authentication and cloud profile backup
• Google Android services: optional system backup and device transfer
• Cloudflare: hosting and security for Achievement Assist
• GitHub and related content providers: application resources and public project information
• Vita3K-related services: game compatibility information
• Google and YouTube: video content and thumbnails

These providers process information according to their own privacy policies:

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Sashkin Apps, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

10. Data security

Account information, cloud profile information, and Achievement Assist requests are transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Data retention

Local emulator data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls the App.

Android system backups may remain according to the user’s Android and Google account backup settings.

Firebase account information and cloud profile backups are retained while the account remains active or until deletion is requested.

Achievement Assist results may be cached locally for up to seven days.

Service providers may retain limited security and request logs according to their own retention policies.

Information required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary.

12. Account and data deletion

To request deletion of an EmuCoreV account and associated cloud data, contact:

Send the request from the email address associated with the EmuCoreV account and include that email address in the message.

We may request additional verification to prevent unauthorized deletion.

After verification, Sashkin Apps will delete the associated Firebase Authentication account and EmuCoreV cloud profile backup within 30 days, unless limited retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Deleting an account does not automatically delete local files stored on the device. Local information can be removed by clearing EmuCoreV’s application data or uninstalling the App.

13. User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to:

• Request access to their personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of their account and associated cloud data
• Withdraw consent for optional features
• Object to or restrict certain processing

14. Children’s privacy

EmuCoreV is not directed to children under the age of 13 or the minimum age required by applicable local law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, contact us so that it can be deleted.

15. International data processing

Firebase and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user lives.

These countries may have different data protection laws. Service providers are responsible for protecting information according to their applicable agreements and legal obligations.

16. Third-party content and links

EmuCoreV may display content from or provide links to third-party websites and services.

Sashkin Apps does not control the availability, content, or privacy practices of third parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to EmuCoreV and services operated directly on behalf of EmuCoreV.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when EmuCoreV’s functionality, service providers, or legal requirements change.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
